For mini PCs that handle multitasking, light gaming, and content creation, heat dissipation is paramount, especially for Ryzen 7 mini PCs that require efficient cooling. Furthermore, some users demand a minimalist design that blends seamlessly into stylish workspaces or home offices without appearing bulky. Therefore, as a mini PC manufacturer, we designed and developed the ZKN3ES Ryzen 7 mini PC to address this challenge. This mini PC features an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor, achieving desktop-like performance within a compact chassis thanks to its all-copper heat pipe cooling system and intelligent airflow design. It also boasts a minimalist metal exterior, featuring rounded corners and a polished, curved chassis that adds a touch of style.
Core Hardware of the Ryzen 7 Mini PC
Efficient cooling begins with the processor, and the AMD Ryzen 7 6800U is the perfect choice for a Ryzen 7 mini PC. This 7nm chip features 8 cores and 16 threads, with a maximum turbo frequency of 4.7 GHz, which is sufficient for 4K video editing, light gaming, and multitasking, while maintaining excellent energy efficiency, a crucial feature for compact systems.
Low TDP: The Ryzen 7 6800U has a default TDP of 15W, generating less heat than older Ryzen 7 models, thus reducing the load on the cooling system.
Zen 3+ Architecture: Advanced power management dynamically adjusts core voltage and frequency, allocating power to active tasks and reducing idle heat, key to keeping temperatures low in a small chassis.
Integrated Radeon 680M GPU: A powerful iGPU handles light gaming and video rendering, eliminating the need for a dedicated GPU, keeping the Ryzen 7 mini PC compact and cool.
For the ZKN3ES, we continuously ran the Ryzen 7 6800U processor at 45W performance mode. The high performance of the 6800U enables a smaller cooling solution without compromising power consumption.

The all-copper heat pipe cooling system (Y+U layout) delivers 45W of power with low noise.
The core of the ZKN3ES Ryzen 7 mini PC‘s cooling system lies in its all-copper heat pipe design, meticulously engineered to operate at a sustained power of 45W while keeping noise levels below 30dB. The Y+U layout is a proprietary design that maximizes cooling efficiency in a minimal space:
All-copper structure: Copper heat pipes conduct heat twice as fast as aluminum heat pipes, ensuring rapid heat transfer from the CPU to the heatsink. We use three 6mm heat pipes for optimal thermal conductivity.
Y+U cooling layout: Two heat pipes form a “Y” shape covering all eight CPU cores, while a third heat pipe forms a “U” shape around the VRM, a common heat source often overlooked in other mini PCs. This layout eliminates hotspots and distributes heat evenly across the heatsink.
Large Aluminum Heatsink: Heat pipes connect to a 120 square millimeter aluminum heatsink with over 50 fins, significantly increasing the heat dissipation area. The fin spacing is 1.5 millimeters, striking a balance between airflow and compactness. Tests show that the ZKN3ES maintains the CPU temperature below 85°C and noise levels at only 28dB under a sustained 45W load.

Intelligent Airflow Design for Ryzen 7 Mini PC, Maintaining Low Temperatures Under High Loads
Efficient heat pipes require intelligent airflow to expel heat from the chassis. The ZKN3ES Ryzen 7 mini PC‘s airflow system is meticulously designed to work in harmony with its cooling hardware, even under high loads.
It features a bottom intake and a top exhaust. A 40mm PWM fan is installed at the bottom of the chassis to draw in cool air, while the top vents expel hot air. This vertical airflow path follows natural convection principles, ensuring that hot air does not stagnate around the CPU. Simultaneously, the fan speed dynamically adjusts based on the CPU temperature. At idle, the fan speed is 1200 RPM; when the temperature exceeds 80°C, the fan speed increases to 2500 RPM, sufficient to cool 45W of power, but the noise level is not excessive enough to affect use. Additionally, the air intake features a fine mesh grille, which effectively blocks dust while maintaining 90% airflow efficiency. Budget Ryzen 7 mini PCs often neglect dust protection, leading to overheating issues after prolonged use.

Minimalist Aesthetics, Metallic Texture, and Rounded Corners
Minimalist design is not just about appearance, but also about functional simplicity, seamlessly integrating into any space. The ZKN3ES Ryzen 7 mini PC’s design is centered on clean lines, high-quality materials, and ergonomic principles.
We crafted the chassis from 1.2mm thick aluminum alloy, making it lightweight yet durable, with a matte metallic finish that resists fingerprints and scratches. Unlike other mini PCs, it has a premium feel, perfectly blending into home offices or modern workspaces. Furthermore, it features a rounded corner design. Sharp corners feel uncomfortable to hold and look harsh. We rounded all edges to a 15mm radius, creating a comfortable grip for moving this ZKN3ES Ryzen 7 mini PC and making its appearance softer. The ports have also been minimalistly designed, placed on the back of the chassis to maintain a clean front and sides.

Curved Design and Polished Surface: A Perfect Blend of Form and Function
The curved design of the ZKN3ES Ryzen 7 mini PC isn’t just for aesthetics; it also enhances heat dissipation and improves ergonomics. The chassis curves slightly upwards from front to back, bringing two main advantages:
Improved Airflow: The curved design raises the bottom of the chassis by 5mm, creating a gap between the surface and the air intake. This ensures unobstructed airflow, even when placed on carpet or soft surfaces.
Comfortable Grip: The curved top design naturally fits the palm of your hand, making it easy to carry the Ryzen 7 mini PC from one room to another. Flat mini PCs are bulky and prone to slipping; the curved design improves grip without increasing size.
Finely polished surfaces: Every edge and surface undergoes three rounds of polishing to ensure a smooth, burr-free finish. This attention to detail prevents scratches on desktops and hands, enhancing the overall premium feel.
Balancing cooling, performance, and design
The ZKN3ES Ryzen 7 mini PC is more than just a collection of features; it proves that efficient cooling and minimalist design can be perfectly integrated. When creating content and editing 4K footage in DaVinci Resolve, the CPU temperature reached 80°C with a fan noise level of 29dB and no throttling at a power consumption of 45W. When running light games, it can run Fortnite at 1080p/60fps with a GPU temperature of 78°C and fan noise below 30dB. Furthermore, even under multitasking conditions, with 20 browser tabs, Slack, Excel, and Zoom running, the CPU temperature reached 65°C, while the fan ran at idle speed.
A Ryzen 7 Mini PC Perfectly Balancing Cooling and Minimalist Design
The ZKN3ES Ryzen 7 mini PC proves that efficient cooling and minimalist design are not mutually exclusive. It combines the high performance of the AMD Ryzen 7 6800U with a full-copper Y+U heat pipe system, intelligent airflow design, and a polished metal, curved chassis, creating a device that offers desktop-like performance, professional workstation-like cooling, and a stunning appearance.
